Peace Be With You
What does the passing of the peace mean to you?
When we share God’s peace with one another at worship do you ever pause to consider just what you’re offering someone as well as what they’re giving you? Sometimes our actions in church can become somewhat rote. We do the same thing every week with a smile and a handshake.
What is the peace that passes all understanding? The one that keeps our hearts and minds in faith through Christ Jesus?
It isn’t a magic wand to make all our fellow worshipers problems or cares vanish. But it is a blessing that God will give us the reassurance and a comfort and confidence to face our daily lives. We can and should rejoice in the blessings He has bestowed on us, knowing that He is present. Or perhaps the peace of Christ means something else to you.
